Equistro Mega Base is a high-quality and versatile vitamin, mineral, and trace element supplement developed to maintain the horse’s  optimal nutritional balance. It is an ideal addition especially for  horses whose diet consists mainly of forage and grains,  ensuring that the horse receives all the essential building  blocks required to maintain health and performance. 

Mega Base contains essential minerals such as  calcium and phosphorus, as well as vital vitamins  and trace elements. A special feature of the  product is its inclusion of the ACTIGEN® prebiotic  and highly bioavailable IPALIGO® trace elements,  which together support digestive health and efficient  nutrient utilization.

Package sizes: 3 kg and 10 kg 

Composition: Calcium carbonate,  inactivated yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae (ACTIGEN®) 16.6%,  lactose, dextrose, sodium chloride, dicalcium phosphate. 

Key Additives (per kg) 

Trace elements (chelates): Zinc 4,000 mg,  Copper 250 mg, Organic selenium 9 mg 

Vitamins: Vitamin A 300,000 IU Vitamin D3 3,000 IU  Vitamin E 4,000 IU 

Antioxidants: Ascorbyl palmitate (a form of vitamin C) 9,900 mg 

Nutritional composition: Ash 43%, calcium 10%, sodium 6.5%,  phosphorus 1.9%, magnesium 0.2%. 

Mix daily with the horse’s concentrate feed. 

Horses (500 kg): 50 g (2 scoops) per day. 

A 10 kg package lasts approximately 200 days. 

Foals and ponies: 25 g (1 scoop) per day. 

A 10 kg package lasts approximately 400 days. 

When does a horse need Mega Base supplementation? 

Mega Base is especially intended for horses whose diet mainly consists  of hay and oats/grains. Such a diet often does not cover all vitamin  and trace element requirements, particularly for horses in active  work or broodmares.
