Equitop Pronutrin®

The natural balance of the horse’s stomach can be disrupted by  stress, changes in feeding, or intense physical exertion.  Equitop Pronutrin® offers researched support for the sensitive  gastric mucosa: 

1. Dual protective action: The product’s pectin and lecithin  support the natural protective mechanisms of the gastric  mucosa against stomach acids. 

2. Strengthens the protective barrier: Lecithin reinforces the water-repellent surface layer of the stomach lining. 

3. Helps balance stomach acidity: Pectin supports  the protective mucus layer and helps increase the pH of stomach contents.

Equitop Pronutrin® is a valuable supportive supplement  in situations where the horse’s stomach is under stress: 

1. Support for gastric ulcer treatment: Can be used  alongside veterinary-prescribed medication or as  follow-up support after a course of treatment. 

2. Stressful situations: Such as long transport journeys,  competition seasons, and stable changes.

Composition 

Dried vegetable and fruit pulp, sugar, dried apple juice, glycerol. 

Additives: Lecithin (1c322) 9%. 

Nutritional composition: Crude fiber 13.5%, crude fat 9%,  crude protein 5.7%, crude ash 2.7%, magnesium 0.2%, moisture 0.1%. 

Dosage: 50 g of granules per 100 kg body weight once daily. 

Example: A 500 kg horse receives 250 g (two full measuring scoops). 

The package includes a graduated measuring scoop  (one scoop corresponds to 250 kg body weight). 

Duration of use: Administer once daily for 2–4 weeks  or according to veterinary instructions. 

Important: The horse must have free access to water, as the fiber in the product absorbs fluid. 

Can Equitop Pronutrin be used together with gastric ulcer medications? 

Yes. Pronutrin® is designed to be used as support alongside veterinary-prescribed treatment. It helps protect the stomach  lining during medication. 

Is Pronutrin suitable for competition horses? 

Yes. It is a popular product among competition horses to support  stomach balance during the stress of competitions and travel.  The product does not contain doping substances, but always  check current anti-doping regulations before competitions. 

How long does one container last?

A 3.5 kg package lasts approximately 14 days  for a 500 kg horse when given at the recommended  dose of 250 g per day. 

When should a Pronutrin® course be started before transport or competitions? 

It is recommended to start a few days before a known change,  such as long transport, a stable change, or an intensive competition weekend.  This allows the stomach’s protective mechanisms to strengthen  before stress or irregular feeding places additional strain on the body.
